That would be very easy to make for the Shark :D

Thanks for the video link, Wolffie.

For the Shark, if used on top of the existing bed, you would probably have to plug the shop vac into the top of it. You would also lose cutting depth, but for thin materials that's a non-issue. I could see making most of the parts for one ON the Shark. To cover all the 25 x 25 range though the bottom may need to be bigger just to provide clamping points.

In the furniture design classes I teach we would do much more veneer work with a drag knife and suction bed like this. I may draw up a small version to test.

I like the small model he made first, I believe that could be adapted to the Shark

This link is to the ruegoldberg model of the vacuum box I made. It works great for verneer but I have not tried it with a pice of solid wood.
