Shark bed

Post by Jim N »

Even though I replaced the MDF bed on my CNC Shark with 2 thicknesses of 3/4" good plywood I still had a little belly in the middle and still some flex. For most projects it was not a problem, but with the shallow cut on the roman key in picture it was. The other pictures show a 3/16" (10-24 -36") rod through and under my bed with a 3/8" shim. By tightening the nuts I can true the board and elimiate the flex. I guess if I get a bow I'll have to flip it over . It clears the lower unit and works good. Same action as the adjustment rod on guitar neck. I just thought this might help someone here.
