Had a chance to start putting the new Shark together tonight
But I soon discovered this doesn't look right
And this really doesn't look right
Disappointing. I had my first paying project lined up for this weekend too, and now that's not going to pan out either.
I figured this as a starter machine just to cut my teeth on, but I guess I over estimated it
Any idea what this part is called so I can start trying to track down a new one?
Off to a bad start

I believe that you have a shattered T-nut there. See this http://shop.nextwaveautomation.com/shop ... px?catid=5 and call or email nextwave automation for a replacement part ASAP..

Yep I believe that is correct. Looks like they only accept phone calls. I'll have to wait to call them I guess

Re: Off to a bad start
Happy to report that NextWave Automation put a replacement part in the mail to me this morning!
On a side note I was able to superglue it together enough to work through the control box installation and the test jogs so I am ready to go, I just was hesitant to make any test cuts with the superglued part.

Not sure I would trust superglue either, but if you can find some plastic model glue....
Glad Nextwave is responding quickly for you.
