Thought I would share this little diddy that popped into my head but could not figure out where to put it so its here improvements welcome!

Sung to the jimmy buffet tune wasting away in "Margaritaville"


Drillin' on poplar,
watchin' the chips fly;
All of those projects covered with tung oil.
cuttin' my finger, ouch what a stinger.
Smellin' that pine wood,
its startin' to turn to fall.

Wasted away again in my wood shop,
Searchin' for my lost jig saw.
Some people claim that there's a woman to blame,
But I know, it's my own damn fault.

Don't know the reason,
Stayed here all season
With nothing to show but this brand new wood shoe.
But it's a real beauty,
American cutie, how it got here
I haven't a clue.

Wasted away again in my wood shop,
Searchin' for my lost ruler and saw.
Some people claim that there's a woman to blame,
Now I think, - hell it could be my fault.

I blew out my rip stop,
Stepped on a pop top,
Cut my hand, almost to the bone.
But there's wood in the wood shed,
And soon I will render
That next little project that helps me hang on.
