Alien Zenomorph leather embossing plate and lighter

Post by studio-n »

This started off just as one of my wooden zippo covers, but I liked the picture
a lot so I went ahead an made a delrin embossing plate for leather out of it. This piece is 3/4 oz leather
and it stands out about 1/10" off the surface. size is 2 1/2"x 2 1/2".
The lighter cover is Bubinga wood. cheers!

A special thanks to Grey Drakkon on the leatherworker.net board for his suggestion that I make the alien facehugger.
I think it turned out good and I think it will look good embossed next to the alien xenomorph.
Both are roughly 2.75" square. Engraved on delrin plastic as an embossing plate.
Cheers!
