I started a blog and someone suggested I share it here with you all. Its goal is to be a complete tutorial on how to cnc build a full sized R2D2 from star wars. I am going step by step and suppliying the files and such as I generate them. check it out if you like. http://westhierry.net and below is a pic of one of the ones I have built in the past.

believe it or not, there are plans for a drink tray like he had in the movie Return Of The Jedi.....

You have to check his blog http://westhierry.net it's really amazing what you can do with cut2d and cut3d. I saw this on the vectric forum http://www.vectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=10351 yesterday. Check it out.

If you like sci fi, this is the ultimate toy... Its also a fun project to do. I am making all the tutorials and gcode available as I build him. This is my 5th droid by the way, so I have a bit of experience in doing this
