Here is the link to the laser module http://shop.nextwaveautomation.com/shop ... itemid=161

To use it on a CNC piranha that is all you need. To use it on a CNC Shark you need the adaptor and control panel 2.xxx

Here is the link for the adapter http://shop.nextwaveautomation.com/shop ... itemid=160

So I wonder if 850 (I have the shark) is worth the cost? I suppose buying a new laser machine would be much more. hmmm.... where did I put my credit card? lol

Remember that this is a 2 to 3 watt LED laser for engraving and not a large CO2 laser that will cut parts out of 1/2" thick wood.

Ive been waiting for this. A very quiet roll out. Rockler doesnt carry the adapter and has the laser unit itself labeled as over sold
Ive had amnesia for as long as I can remember

As someone else said another NWA quiet product rollout.

As I under stand both the Piranha laser module and the CNC Shark laser interface is needed for all CNC Sharks prior to HD3. I have a 2014 CNC Shark HD/Black Diamond

We would need both of these items:
NWA item # 160 http://shop.nextwaveautomation.com/shop ... itemid=160

NWA item # 20015 http://shop.nextwaveautomation.com/shop ... itemid=161

It sounds like some of you are on the "bleeding edge" trying the laser on Shark. Since NWA does not seem to be actively promoting this I hope some of you will chime-in with your installation experience.

Have a great day!

... Rod
