Hello all, I have a black diamond shark. Ever since I had it, the USB cable keeps disconnecting at the most inopportune times!! I have switch out USB cables about 4 times since I have had it and it does not stop the problem. Does anybody have any idea how to fix it? Thanks for your time.

Be sure that you have all background tasks turned OFF especially your screen saver it has been the most identifiable culprit to cause the USB port to shut downs!!!

I'm not sure about turning off background programs on my computer, I tried but don't think it worked. Now, I did go to office depot and tried another USB Cord. This one is gold plated and was told it has better continuity. So I got it and brought it back with me to the shop. Well the cord has been plugged in with the control panel on for some 5-6 hours now and has yet to disconnect. I'll keep my fingers crossed and see how the week goes. Thanks!!

Case closed, the new gold plated sub cord is doing the trick. I have yet to disconnect.
