Y- Axis not moving

Post by lukaspatten »

I went back out to find my shark had finished a program, but it looks like the y-axis quit functioning part way through.

Right now there is no Y-axis movement when I jog. I can here the motor actuating, but the coupler has no movement so it is not slipping but rather just not moving at all. Should I just go ahead and pull the motor off? Of course it is after the nextwave service hours....

Check the coupling and make sure it's tight before taking the motor off because even thou it doesn't look like it's not loose it still might be. If you hear the motor running than it's not tight the coupling. Try it first.
