Extending Table Length

Post by Chiefmedic »

Hello Everyone ~

Recently I saw a post of a Shark Pro Plus where the table was doubled in length ( Y Axis ). They had actualy double the rails and the Y Axis screw, and then had placed a additional table to complete the project. Does anyone know where I might find that post here again?

Thanks

Here's 2 good posts - http://www.cncsharktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=498 and http://www.cncsharktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=228

You'll need to contact Tim at Next Wave Automation - towens@nextwaveautomation.com - to cost this and obtain the extended version.

Hello Rapiddawg ~
I am using the Shark Pro Plus, and will need to have a longer (Y Axis) table in the near future. Since I already have the Shark Pro Plus, I would like to just order the extended rails, extended Y feed screw and such. I would use black corian to make my own extended bed, and order the aluminum T trac from Rockler. I would like to increase the bed length to 60". I am not sure if I would need beefier motors? The X and Z rack would remain the same dimensions.

Thanks for any help or ideas on this issue.
