Tool Path Stops Without Cutting

Post by tradewinds »

I am attempting to run a roughing tool path using a shark CNC. I load the attached file, zero out the work space and click to run the job. The bit spins up for a second or less and the job stops without making a cut. The computer or machine do not show any type of error message. I have tried power cycling the CNC and reloading the job but get the same result. Thanks for any help on this.

Embarrassed beyond all get out, but I "think" I figured out what I did wrong. It is the first job I setup using Aspire and I saved the file as a CNCShark-Laser (inch) (*.tap), when I should have saved it as a CNCShark-USB 3D Contour (inch) (*.tap). I just saw the (inch)(*.tap) and selected that format.

Hopefully the other file runs from a laptop.
