Tool changes

Post by dlooney2 »

Trying to change tools without having to stop and load antoher toolpath does anyone have a suggestion? Vcarve will not save the file for the shark. Is there a way to do this with the Shark?
I have been looking at upgrading to the pro plus but wanting and needing dont always coincide with each other. But if it will pause or allow for a tool change then it becomes a need as it would make life much simpler..
Any suggestions would be great. I have a mechanical soultion, its not pretty but it works..
Thanks

Due to a lack of an automatic tool chager capability you must have a seperate .tap file per tool/bit.

Not certain how you are changing bits on the fly.

For each tool you need to create a seperate file. You machine your work with the first bit then do your tool change and then zero your bit on the top again. Only set the Z to zero do not set the X and Y position to zero then you should be all set to run the next program.
