Corian Carve
Here are my 1st real carves I hope to sell. Cut in Corian.
Final size is 5.5" x 9"
They will be in a hardwood frame but no glass. This solves the problem on how to hang them. They might be priced too high but it is a 2hr 15min machine time plus some light sanding and then polishing.

Re: Corian Carve
Nice carving. If priced too high people won't buy. I have carvings of 3 hrs or more but won't get the money because people only think cheap, don't consider how long it takes to make.

Thanks Tony,
I was wondering about that. I'll reconsider my pricing without using machine time as part of the price, only finished product.
That will change price considerably.

Re: Corian Carve
For most, 3d items like yours are hard to make money on when you account for the long machining times. I think you would have more luck if it was incorporated in a box or chest.
I pretty much stick to vcarving items because I can produce them fast and sell them at a price people are willing to pay. You can do a lot of vcarving in corian that takes only minutes to paint and finish. I love working with the stuff

Re: Corian Carve
Thanks for your comments and advice.
I think I will transition to V-Carving but I have to do the image conversions which I will do soon.
I already put up an ad on one of my fb pages. I'll have to think about this.
thanks again.

Re: Corian Carve
Hi Mark,
Agree if you are building stock for a craft show you want to keep the piece price lower.
However if you are doing a custom order for a 3D carve make sure to charge your price for the 3D carving. People will pay for it in that situation.
Good Luck!
