Hi there, been away for a while.
Here's something I've been working on, fresh off the machine. My celtic cross design, with an updated weave using Aspire's weave tool in Walnut. This is inlayed on to a bed of weaves carved into white oak. As you can see, the fuzzies still need to be cleaned off. I will post after I clean it up and and apply finish.
A photo of my original celtic cross, non-woven version, so you can see the difference.
Its nice once people realize you do this carving. All the wood for this latest was given to me.

Bill,
I really like the inlay frame that you carved for the cross. What a great idea, and well done.

Thanks basecircle and Gordon. I just finished sanding and putting a coat of natural clear stain on this and the natural wood is gorgeous. A couple of coats of clear laquer tomorrow and I should post photographs the next day.
Re: Celtic cross on celtic weave
As promised, here are the finished photos. Natural clear stain for both woods, walnut and white oak, with clear lacquer over.

A lot of lookers on the forum these days but not too many commenters. Lol. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you got them.
