A few acrylics I made

Post by damonawsgt »

First and foremost thank you Rich! Your insight and help got me on the right path. I donated 7 to our local biker cancer ride that in turn raised $2600.00! Lol now if I could make a part of that normally, all kidding aside it was for an awesome cause that I have supported fir the last 3 yrs with donated pieces.

Very nice. Good job. I really like your bases. Can you provide more information and pictures on how you are making the bases?

Thanks,
Roger

I found it on a free online scroll saw pattern site. I think it was stevedgo.ipower.com

Very nice work. Just curious, how did you create your clock tick marks? Am I imagining it or is it an optical illusion, but it looks like there are some tick marks that are larger than others. Did you use that "divide into equal parts" feature in VCarve to divide up the tick marks?

Damon,

I want to get started in acrylic. Can you tell me your general setup with speeds and feeds and bits used on acrylic?

I want to have a pretty good understanding so I don't waste a whole lot of acrylic cutting to deep, or feed rate to fast/slow or wrong bits used.

I got some pretty good feedback from Tony of his posts on speeds and feeds and I am getting much better on wood.

Now time to some a new material.

Thanks
