Cribbage Board

Post by PapaBear60 »

Having been a cribbage player most of my life, I've made a few boards - some with the Rockler templates. So, when I got the Shark, I thought it was time to try something a bit more elaborate. This one, made of padauk and finished in polyurethane, was for a benefit for a local medical organization. I used the inlay technique described on a forum and it works great - for the tracks and suits on the top of the board. Note, in the inset, that I routed out a pocket for the cards and pins in the back, with a slide cover for it. There are more examples on my website, http://www.vancouverwoodsmith.com.

Nice job. Sure beats using a template, doesn't it?

No, the Scrabble board predates the Shark - although if I were willing to round off the tile corners, I probably could use the shark for the recesses. Hmmmm.

Thanks,
Dave
