Bass Guitar

Post by jonquilmusic »

TOWER OF STYLE

Material: 1.5" Maple Butcher Block from old counter-top, 5-string Ibanez from pawn shop ($150.00)
Software: Modeled in Bobcad 21, coded in Vectric 3-D, controlled by Mach 2/3
Machine: CNC Shark Pro

I made this a couple of years ago. She's stage worthy, and no heavier than most other P-basses you'll play.

Buy used 5-string bass from pawn shop (Ibanez GSR 205 I stripped the pickups, already)

Design New Body. (Don't feel like doing necks/fretboards much, anymore. Pain in the butt!)

Then get some raw material, a used maple butcher-block counter:

Cut (This is actually one for a guitar with a Floyd Rose, but lets pretend that it's the bass, cause it looks pretty similar.)

Do a collage treatment, because sanding just takes too much time!

Add electronics, neck, string it up.... MAGIC!
