Cut 5 mm deep in 10mm translucent Opal.
The mark in the corner happened when the Z axis went berserk and ploughed into the material.
Since she is no longer with us, I wanted the picture to look slightly fuzzy, so I smudged the carving with Old Gold acrylic paint.
Background is printed mirror image on adhesive clear film, next time I think I will cut the image from the background, it looks like it is lifting.
Frame is made from yellow walnut, an Australian native species painted with 1 coat of clear sanding sealer, lighted all around with 12V LED strip.
Thanks for looking

Very nice What kind of printer and media did you use for the color background?
Re: My first coloured litho
I like that "spirit" effect. Very well done. Thanks!

Hi Jim
I have only been able to get adhesive printable film for a laser printer, thinking Avery clear labels, full size, might work but I have not been able to lay my hands on any.
The laser print has to be handles carefully as it peels off very easily.
It must also be printed in mirror to fit the carving.
Cheers
