Pie anyone?

Post by basecircle »

Hi everbody,Well I just finished a sign for a friend that owns a bar and pie shop in Detroit. It's 3/4x22x23long western cedar.I recycled from my old fence.4 board glueup.the lettering is made of walnut, there logo lettering kinda different.Do not know what the font is so I had to trace and cleanup. Now the Pie and the bones I modeled out of red oak.Using Aspire.(If anybody needs the pie or bones i will send them to you)One of my first models.I sprayed sanding sealer.(minwax warterbased) Knocked back the nibs with scotch brite.Sprayed two coats of minwax polycrylic.I epoxied all the pcs.to the backer board.Popped a couple pins in.I hope you all like it.It was alot of fun.Basecircle

That's really cool Basecircle. I really like to see people carving their own creations in Aspire. Nice job all around.

Do love that cedar background!
Nothing can substitute for Mother Nature when it comes to aging wood (or anything else for that matter, lol)
Nice work!
