New Music Stand

Post by Keith Hodges »

Done a few of these for other people, but this one is special. Its for me. Finished up all my orders from the last craft show, so now a little me time. The entire stand is made of Cherry, with the exception of the disc in the center of the top piece, which is Purple Heart. The top was cut with my Shark. The spiral, tapered leg was done on my Router Crafter. The top tilts into 3 different positions, and can be raised 7 inches in height. All in all a fun project, and a nice addition to my living room décor. Now a little clear coat and three custom knobs with 3 inch pins for the height\tilt adjustment, and another fun project comes to an end.

I agree! Exellent work!

Both my parents were music teachers, and they would have loved your work as well.

Keith,

This is really nice work. While I like the signs and plaques I see here, there is nothing like a well thought out assembled project like this one. Useful and beautiful.

Great Job.

I agree Bill. I've been a woodworker about 30 years, and this past year and a half has been like a nice vacation from old school. But sometimes you've just got to get back to basics, it's good for the soul.
