Celtic design on a round

Played around with some designs and this came out pretty nice. Could not get the picture any less blurry for some reason.

Nicely done and thanks for sharing. Is it all one piece or is the "white" portion cut out separately? What type of wood and stain?

Done on pine. The stain was done after the carving. "Colonial Maple 223" from Minwax was the stain used. The wood was purchased already round and with the routed edge. All I did was the square and the cross in the middle.

Next time I will stain the wood blank first to have the cross have the lighter lines.
