Seems like there should be some shortcut way of laying out those marble holes. Offset array, delete the ones you don't need perhaps? Create the star/hex shape, then nest as many copies of hole within it that will fit?

Honestly? I did a bunch of math and laid them out in CAD to get them right, took a few trys.
Then my now it all engineering student daughter looked over my shoulder and said, you could just do it this way... And was right. Of course, by then I was done!
You could download the files from WWJ, or I can send the array as a DXF if you wish.
