Acrylic 3D

Post by jeb2cav »

Would like to say thanks to all who have shared their knowledge on carving in acrylics - along with tips and traps on the wiring/lighting. I've had a chance to work with this material the last few months and thought I'd share this creation. The skep model was carved using a 3/16" BN acrylic bit from Amana.

Like your design on this, expecting more acrylics from you. How thick is the acrylic?

Hi Tony - it is 1/2". I like that thickness for a lot of things - so really haven't tried too much since kicking the tires on thinner and thicker.
