Pinewood Derby

Here is my pinewood derby entry for this year. A 1959 Chevy Impala. The model was from Google sketch up brought into cut 3D, sliced and pieced together.

Pretty cool.Brings back alot of memories.People would get crazy .Once a year guys would bring in the wheels for there kids.And being in a prototype machine shop.Some people would want a slight taper inwards on there wheels .Or convex them so you would have a single point contact.Polish the axles (Nails).we would also Put bushings in try to make the wheels with less tir.Wow those were the days. Just beautiful work on it. Will have to try that technique. keep up the good work.
