Pinewood Derby

Post by ruhnau »

Here is my pinewood derby entry for this year. A 1959 Chevy Impala. The model was from Google sketch up brought into cut 3D, sliced and pieced together.

Pretty cool.Brings back alot of memories.People would get crazy .Once a year guys would bring in the wheels for there kids. And being in a prototype machine shop. Some people would want a slight taper inwards on there wheels .Or convex them so you would have a single point contact.Polish the axles (Nails).we would also Put bushings in try to make the wheels with less tir.Wow those were the days. Good job on the "57". Basecircle
