Teacher plaque

A little teachers plaque I was asked to make for a lady's sister who had just graduated from college. She now teaches at our local elementary school.

Very nice! Is it made out of one solid piece, with everything leveled except the apple?

The writing on that first line looks a little long for the plaque, but it works. What did you use for the shiny finish?

The apple was a separate piece that I glued on. Yeah should have moved the last word of the first line down! It was a last minute order so lol. Lacquer, lots of lacquer, for the shiny finish.

I figured doing the apple separately then gluing it on would be the easy way to do it, I just didn't know it would look so good.
