Mayan Calendar

Post by SKIF16 »

Does anyone know where I can find a Mayan Calendar project compatible with VCarve Pro. Have a couple of friends who would like to have one if I will carve it for them.

Thanks - Richard "SKI" Kowalski

If you can get a decent bitmap image of one you can have Vectric do the tracing. But, the complexity means the multiple-height fun will be tedious to achieve. I didn't see any ready-made CNC designs, but there sure are a lot of regular images of them:

Also, these Vectric resources might prove useful:

But, the coup de grace appears to be this page, which has multiple ZIP-file downloads, purportedly containing full-on Vectric designs...Fingers crossed :D.

Hope that gets you started :-)

Rando, thank you. I finally figured out how to convert the calendar depictions to bit-map files using Paint. I than loaded those files into VCarve Pro and created some satisfactory cutting programs. Slowly but surely figuring out the VCarve system.
