Setting for 3D Carve on backside of Plexi

Post by wsteffan »

Does anybody have the settings or setup using aspire for carving 3D on Plexi?

I see some prefer both front and back side and I would like to try it on the backside.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Always use cast acrylic when doing edge lit acrylics. Are you doing a real 3D carving or just a normal carving on plexi? I use either a .0625 ball nose bit or a 90 v bit or a diamond drag bit on acrylic. If your doing a 3D I use a tappered ball nose bit. The pic shows a 3D rose I did in 1/2" cast acrylic. Always use the backside when carving and reverse your carving and lettering. When using the front you will see shadows.
