treasure chest top

Post by Joe P »

My niece asked me to make her a treasure chest to hold her cards at her wedding. I decided to use the Shark to carve out the inside and outside of the curved top. I glued up some oak and went at it with the moulding toolpath option. Ran into several clearance issues with the sides of the router hitting the top in the deeper sections but found ways around it.

Wow, great idea. That turned out so well.

What did you end up doing to get around the Z clearance on the sides (when upside down) and middle (when flipped)?
