Diamond Engraving

Post by mcsteve »

I have access to old hard drives where I remove the magnets for various projects. While working on some this morning I thought that the discs in them would likely make great wind reflectors to keep the birds out of my garden in the spring. Then I thought "what if I made veggie identifiers" as well as reflectors. Here is the end result of a Sunday with too much time on my hands. I think I'll probably end up making some for all of the plants, shrubs, fruit trees and veggies.

I used a 30 degree diamond engraving bit I picked up a Harbor Freight and has been on the shelf for a year. I set the depth to 0.001 and used the quick engraving feature in VCP 9.5.

Great use for recycled technology. Also a great way to ensure that your data is securely deleted. lol
