Controller not starting, error msg's

Have ran into an issue while re setting up my shark controller box. When i go to start the controller program, it goes to the 'must update firmware' window. I do the update, it then goes to the following errors:
'access violation at address 00DE5D58 in module ncpodapi.dll read of address 00000000'
and then
'access violation at address 00636088 in module cnccontrolpanel.exe read at address 0000008A'

I have updated to version i, completely uninstalled, reinstalled, unplugged, replugged in the box, but get the same errors every time.

any ideas?

One thing had not tried yet, was to restart the computer. Seems to have fixed the problem. So if nothing else, maybe this can be used to let anyone else who may have the problem what to try.
