X-0 and Y-0 part placement repeatability

Post by SimRacn »

I do not recall seeing anything on this before, other a cpl people have mentioned they placed sensors on their machine.
I have a hole milled for a 1/2" dowel at 0/0 and 1/4" holes .125 minus on both X and Y for 1/4" dowels.
I can dial the router head in at 0-0 and setting parts against the 1/4" dowels keeps the Edgar of the material at X 0 and Y 0. This especially good when flipping parts over and need to know your start point without having to dial in he work piece.

Hope this may help someone or give some ideas.

It is my belief that the only dumb question is the one not asked :-)
