I might of missed it but is this a Shark, Pro, Plus or HD.
The reason I ask is the controllers are different in the first two units then the last two.
Also the HD uses different bearings then the other units.
The motors will warm on their own as well as the control box for all units.
However the lead screws and bearing will still be cold
You could put the shroud around the machine area if you wanted to keep dust and warmth in that area (rather than the whole garage).
The big thing to be careful of here is making sure that you have grounded High static items like (Vacuums and Plastic enclosures) static discharges can cause erratic operation on the motors.

Note: If you are in a really cool area where there is condensation or frost happened let it dry out before continuing (left outside at a craft show for instance). I know you all know this but I am pointing it out because I have had a call on it in the past.
