Anyone help with the proper speed/feed rate to mill about 1/32" from part of a panel face and cut out other parts. I am using 1/8" thick Acrylic and and 1/8" end mill. I have never worked with Acrylic before and don't want to melt the stuff and ruin it as it is pretty expensive stuff.
I originally tried using a 1/8" piece of aluminum and it was a major disaster.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

What kind of acrylic you using? Always use cast acrylic not the extruded kind. Extruded will melt when cutting or carving. My speeds and feeds when doing acrylics is rpm at 10,000, feed rate at 150 ipm and that is using a 1/16 ball nose bit when doing edge lit acrylics. The slower your rpms the better.
