My cnc stop in middle of machining or got an offset in Y

Post by sinardet »

Hello,
Yesterday, I machined a large laminated panel in tiling mode, length of this one of 2400 mm.
Usually, I have never used this kind of machining.
I had 3 problems during this day, my cnc was stopped during machining, (2 hours later) in the middle of the machining, the cnc shifted 70cm in Y from the origine .
One hour later, the same but just 3 cm in X and 2 hours after 2 cm in X.
My computer is a small netbook Asus 1215N with Atom processor (1,8 G), let me know if for Control Panel 2.1 that's enough.
I haven't got an antivirus or other softwares installed in the computer ,I never use internet with it.
Have you already got troubles like these with tiling mode?
Thanks to let me know if you 've got solution of my problemes.

It would help to know what machine you're using, but my first reaction is to check whether the Y axis is hitting the edge of the machinable area during the cut. Remember, the center of the spoilboard is not the center of the machinable area.

Hi kayvon,

I know what you said, obviously I'm not on the mechanical limit .
My cnc is shark pro plus and my computer is a neetbook asus 1215n with an Atom processor and Control Panel 2,1 .
In fact, my problemes appear randomly. even in the middle of my cnc.

I haven't experienced this problem outside of mechanical limits. I'm inclined to believe it's not a tiling issue, since the tiling g-code output is unlikely to be bad and the problem has to be on the machine, its connection to the laptop, or the Control Panel.

Maybe someone else will chime in with something more helpful. I haven't used the Pro Plus model before.

Would you be willing to post your crv file that you are trying to cut? It could be a big help in determining your problem.

Glad you figured it out.

Would you mind posting a little detail about what was happening, how you found it, and what you did to fix it? It would be helpful for anyone else that may experience the same trouble in the future. (And helpful for us when others ask similar questions.)
