Spoil board.

Post by Rushman2112 »

So I am thinking of makeing a 6 and 5/8 board and then skipping a slot and then making another board like that so I have use of the track but I am not sure if that is a logical size or not what I am looking at doing is getting away using double sided tape but I dont feel confident enough to just use the bead that came with it. So was wondering if anyone else has done this on there bed and care to share what they did I also wanted to figure out another way to bolt the spoilboard to the bed. The one that came with it and I used it had doubleside tapped it and I think that seemed to cause issue with the board coming up this year and i thought ok lets put a new board on and hey whale we are doing this lets make it so I dont have to use double sided tape for out projects.

Thanks
Rod

Rod, I use strips of mfd like you are talking about with countersunk holes for the 1/4” nylon bolts and nuts. I occasionally mill a few hundredths to flatten or true up the top. If a bit hits the bolt, no problem
