Re: 3 biker embossing plate for leather
You achieve some very nice detail in the leather. Could almost be portrait quality if you knew the folks in the scene. Did you post your technique and I just missed it?

Re: A question on machine maintenance
I use a dry teflon spray. Stay away from stuff like WD-40. Too oily and will attract dust and gum up the works.

Re: Shark controller won't stop
It may not be a controller issue. I use a wireless mouse and sometimes that happens to me also. I click on a jog button and it's like my computer can't read the signal to un-click and the shark continues to move. I am thinking of going back to a wired mouse to see if that resolves the problem.

Re: Carving backwards
I upgraded from CNC shark Control panel 1.5.0.23H to CNC Shark Control Panel 1.6. I had reversed my X and Y to make the bed longer. My fix of editing the config file was lost. Everything was back to original. I had reversed my x and y to make everything normal to how I was seeing it. To open the con...

Re: Unstable Shark Pro +
I would agree with 4dThinker. That is exactly how I messed up a few pieces with results like you described. I knew I was pushing the limits of the capacity of the Shark but thought I could make it work. Turns out I was off on the Y by about 0.01 inches so when it hit the Y limit, the controller soft...

Re: Carving backwards
Thanks for the link. Are these changes stored in some type of config file or am I editing the program code? What happens during an update the to Control Panel software? Is it necessary to go in and re-do the change?

Re: Bowling with Bob...
Thanks again Bob for your technique. It has come in useful a number of times. Here I made a rest for the rolling pins I did on my Shark last winter. I do have to admit that I did the cove on the table saw because it was quicker and the scallops on the bottom with my Shark.

Re: Carving backwards
I have changed the X and Y cables and have reversed the gantry by unbolting it and rotating 180 degrees. Everything works fine and now the X axis is the long side of the bed and the Y is the short. But I loose some space on the bed because the gantry doesn't extend the whole way now. I am not unders...

Rolling Pins made on the Shark
Here are some rolling pins I made using my original Shark. I wanted to make a Heritage piece of the corrugated rolling pins for my daughters and friends. These are based on a rolling pin my wife has that goes back to her great grandma and is used for making traditional Norwegian lefse. I don't have ...
