Re: Deleting and incorrect toolpath

Hi Cal, I don't know if you figured out yet how to delete a tool path, but if not: What I say below applies to VCarve Pro (all newer versions). I frankly don't know if you can delete a tool path in the trial version, but I don't know why you wouldn't be able to. A tool path can be deleted by left-cl...

Re: help with 1 year anniversary project

Hi Ryan, Sorry, I don't check the forum as often as I used to. Well, now you have plenty of time to make your plaque before next year! I've attached a .crv file which hopefully will get you started in the right direction. The heart is from the "Clip Art" that comes with VCarve. I played around with ...

Re: virtual touch plate connection trouble

Hi lockeb,
I had the same problem a while back. I tried a new cable and that fixed the problem. NWA sells them for about $30.

It's cheaper than buying a new touch plate, although it might not fix it for you.

Re: Importing images and DWG / DXF files into cutting softwa

hi budwood2,
Can you check the name of the website you recommended for height maps for cnc carving? I looked for the name you gave and it doesn't seem to exist.
Thanks.

Re: two sided box top

gpeck,
You have to make sure that your index holes are symmetrical around x=0, y-o. Otherwise, your top and bottom patterns will not line up properly.

Re: Virtual Zero

I have the same questions as Kabbie about using existing virtual zero data. I have an older Shark (i.e. no pendant) and am using V 2.1.26 control panel software. It seems that the program randomly asks if I want to use saved VZ data. I would like to use the existing points whenever I run multiple to...

Re: Control Panel Update

Can anyone explain the changes from V2.1 Build 17 to V2.1 Build 22?
I've been using Build 17 for quite a while with no issues and from experience I'm a little gun shy to update without knowing what the benefits may be.
Like they say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Thanks.

Re: Unigraphics

GrandpaB, Which version of the control software are you using? It looks like the original V1.6 software has the warning to turn on the router and then hit OK. I use V2.0 software and that just says to click OK to start running. If you have the Shark Pro Plus, that has a power socket in the back of t...

Re: CNC Shark Control Panel 2.0 W/Virtual Zero

Den, I see you posted several weeks ago and you probably have an answer by now, but if not let me just mention that V2.0 of the control software is an upgrade to the original V1.5 that must be purchased from Next Wave Automation. It costs $150 and I would say is well worth the cost. If you had V2.0 ...

Re: Aspire V8.007 User Requesting Shortcut Help

Bill, I use the "Join" command a lot to connect the individual vectors of a gear. I see others have correctly pointed you to this command. I'll add the following. Note the tolerance block in the Join command. I always start with that number about 0.001 and then slowly increase it if all of the vecto...
