Re: Buying Vector Art
Hi Wayne, Thought I would add my 1.5 cents worth into the mix. What I get / got from your post is that you want a box carved 3" x 3" on the left, text in the center and a box 3"x3" on the right. If this is what you are after you can do it! I didn't read anything about loading your G code you reset y...

Re: CNC SHARK MOVEMENT
It almost sounds as if there is some binding or something is twisted. If you in one "X" direction only do you gat the same sounds, actions as when you reverse the "X" direction? Try this in the "Z" and "Y" directions one at a time. Also try to see if everything is in alignment. Please Post your resu...

Re: New Member/lots of questions
Retired 32 years Navy, thought I would kick back and take it easy... wrong! Can't sit still, have to do something. When I retired (15 years ago) one of my sons came to me and wanted my help getting into the sign business. Both of us are good with computers and I have been working in wood for years. ...

Re: Laptop recommendations
I have been using a Toshiba for years and I have been getting them from Wal-Mart. I find I get about 2.5 to 3 years out of them and I get another. Most of the time I get them for around $375 to $500 and some times I have to add 2gig of Ram, I find that aq total of 4gig is fine for me. My laptop goes...

Re: Other CNC Design Programs and Post Processors
Thanks Tim, As always your on top of things! I hope I will not have to send the files to VCarve as most of my work will be 3D (2.5D) and I'm not sure if VCarve will save my files so I can get a good G file to run. I will be loading BobCam this weekend and going through all the video training lessons...

Other CNC Design Programs and Post Processors
I was just given (an early birthday gift) a new version of Bob CAD-CAM Ver.23 Base, Mill 3x, BobArt and the set of training videos. My question is: Has / is anyone using BobCad with there Shark? What adjustments / changes did you have to make? What about a post processor, were you able to use the on...

Re: Bearing Noise
Tim, I hope you give me the chance to become a bata tester for you! I don't live that far from you folks, I'm in the 696 / 75 area of Detroit. I have shown my Shark to 2 woodworking groups in my area and each has shown a high degree of interest. I do need to get more software so I can scan in line a...

Re: Bearing Noise

The other trouble I have is we can"t get into our new building until April or May of next year...
