Re: Is this normal? Finish pass is scalloped

Bob, you are correct, my zero was off but I'm not sure why because I used a gage to find the new Z after the tool change. I ran the tutorial again and when it finishes roughing the Z has .100 inches added to it. Am I crazy?

Design suggestion on blue table top slats

I spent a lot of time putting a solid flat underbelly on my shiny new blue table Plate support.PNG and I got it really flat. But now I realize that was only half the battle. Since these aluminum channels are not attached to each other, they lift up when you clamp down your work. I did see where othe...

Is this normal? Finish pass is scalloped

I finally ran my brand new SharkProHD after spending two weeks carefully setting it up, tightening screws and leveling everything. I ran the "bowl" tutorial - the one that's shaped like a leaf. I followed the tutorial to the letter copying the speeds, feeds and tool choices of the tutorial. The roug...

Check the terminal connections in control box

Reading one of the posts I saw where someone found loose connections inside the control box. So I decided to check mine. MOST of the connections were loose. I got more than a half turn on the solid state relay screws. SO glad I checked. Noticed the wires to a 12Amp router are very small 22Ga wires -...

DRUM ROLL FOR THE RESULTS Mid table indicate.PNG After leveling the four corners to within .001" of each other relative to the gantry, the gantry SAGS .008". AND, there is .010" sag lengthwise on the table - even with the 1/4" plate underneath. BUT, the .010 sag could be my bench isn't flat so that'...

Re: Brand New ProPlusHD TABLE NOT FLAT!!!

Now that I have a sturdy and flat support for the table, the problem is where to attach this new flat table. You can't attach it using those four holes - tried that - since they are not at the same Z height. I made my own leveling system that comes off the bench. leveling system.PNG Now the table fl...

Router Clamp Needs a Modification

Just got my ProPlus HD and noticed the router clamp wasn't really gripping the router. After looking at it realized the four bolts holding it down would not allow the clamp to close. I opened up the two holes circled in red so there would be clearance. Loosen those two screws then tighten the clamp ...

Re: Brand New ProPlusHD TABLE NOT FLAT!!!

I used that now-scrap plastic bar to locate the holes on the aluminum beam using a transfer punch. From this I have the beginnings of a planar/flat table. New support.PNG Note that on this side I had to notch for the stepper. Before I tightened any screws, I made sure to square the edges and close a...
