Twice now I've had an issue with with Z axis not keeping the correct 0. First, it was cutting out plastic pieces- ~.75" by ~1.25" and .38" thick (at .07" pass depth). There were 9 of them, and the first 3 cut perfect, so I left the boot on and left the machine unattended for 5 min... When I came bac...

The gantry uprights are no where near at a right angle with the cross bar!

Ooooooo my GOD!! What til you see these pics!! The bars are bowed in arc that explains the +Y travel when traveling X. I spent a MONTH flattening table!! What an idiot I am!! No idea how I missed this egregious poor contruction and design! This is going to be much harder to fix.

Did it and I'm drilling holes but the holes are not ending up in the right place - see my other post today.

I put my Shark on an optically flat Vibraplane table sold by Kinetic Systems - had one laying around from a machine I designed - LOT more than 50 bucks.

I'm building the boxes from 1/4" thick PVC that are screwed together. I'm using the Shark to drill the holes. The end panels are 10x14" with six holes for screws. The three holes along the Y axis are perfect. When the shark moves in the +X direction 10" to drill the other three holes, it drifts +Y b...

Also, I'm using a countersink bit so I need to control the depth of the drill.

1/4" thick PVC

It's the setting up the toolpath part that I'm looking for the easy answer on how to do.
