Re: HD 510 Stalls and Jumps

Add:
How far is the bit extended beyond the collet?
Is the collet properly tightened?
Are all bolts properly tightened on the router clamp, and on the gantry and the rest of the machine?
Are the hold down clamps on your material tight and positioned properly?

Re: CNC Touch Plate

It sounds like you just need the cord unplugged from the large touch plate and plugged into the smaller plate.

Re: Code is Not Honoring Y Axis Length for 3D Toolpaths

I was talking about the .crv files used to draw the job, unless you're using Aspire to make 3D models, or if you're talking about rotary machining, then you would need someone with experience in those methods. However, if you are making 2D, or 2.5D drawings I could be more helpful. I hope someone wh...

Re: Code is Not Honoring Y Axis Length for 3D Toolpaths

I need to think in terms of a physical world. (It takes me a long time to decipher all the words of code.) If no one else can answer your question, would you please post the crv file/s you are describing. This way I can look at them and give you my opinion.

I had unknowingly left tge plastic rings on the router. Which lifted the router out of the holder.
Remove the depth adjustment rings on the router. I didn't know they came off.
jmarsz,
Thank you for sharing the solution to your problem. I'm sure it will be of help to others.

Re: Uneven cut

I have lubricated and checked everything for tightness. Nothing seemed off. The machine is almost brand new having run about 15 projects and about 7 hrs run time on it. Not quite sure how to post the crv file.... Feed rates for the compression tool are...80 ipm @16,000rpm at a .2 depth in redwood F...

Re: Uneven cut

Have you contacted Next Wave yet: https://nextwavecnc.com/support/
They have always proven very helpful.
Tramming sounds like the best idea to clean up the surfaces.
I'm stuck with the uneven ends. It would be a good idea to check with Next Wave.

Re: Uneven cut

What's a "pivotal axis point"?
It sounds nice and technical. And, kind of cool. I just want to know in case the term comes up again.
Thanks.
