Profiling thin aluminum

I want to cut a small sign to place over my Son's coffee maker. He asked if I could do a cut through in aluminum and add a contrast back. Never cut metal since I have had the mako. Could I get some info on bits, feed and speed, lubrication(if necessary. Thanks.

Bowl making inquiry

I have the mako with a Porter Cable router that came with it. Could someone give me some pointers. About bit size, feed/speed for making bowls. And the use of extenders. I am concerned about how much strain I might be putting on the cnc and the router.

Yellow or blue tp calculations

What is the significance of the blue color as opposed to the yellow color seen during the calculation of tool paths? I know they signify the process of calculation, but what does the difference in color mean?

My issue is, they are in PDF format, three to four pages. I need to single out the pattern page to import or some how mak...

Feed and speed for profiling with 1/8 inch bit.

I want to use a 1/8 bit to cut out profiles in a design that is actually a scroll saw project. My reason is to get sharper detail. I haven't been down this path before. Could I get some guidance on feed rate and RPMs so I don't break as many bits? If I am successful with this I want to cut one that ...

Re: multiple tool path questions

I use the touch plate for setting the z. At the end of the cut it comes back to x0, y0,z is not 625 as it was before. Is it still ready or do I redo the z0 as I have bee doing? Should I use 0,0,0 tab?
