Installed the new gantry back & it cured my problems! Awesome upgrade @ an affordable price. Also added sams clamp, so the weak clamp/slippage worry is gone.
Thanks for the info about these!

Re: Settings for Shark Pro 11Deg bit VCarve User
The first thing that comes to mind is... Where there pockets in the design that you pocketed by the V bit?....that would take a while. But not being able to view the design I'm just guessing.

Re: Pockets not flat
So... I ordered the aluminum gantry back & a aluminum clamp from sam. we will see.... Feed rates are much more critical on the shark than some of the steel frame versions of CNC. I have seen many great projects that turned out mediocre because the operator likes "computer fast" action rather than to...

Mine makes all kinds of sounds from day 1. Try running a toolpath above the wood with router off, you will hear all kinds of musical notes... Sweet Shark Music.

Re: Pockets not flat
I put a reference mark on the router when it slipped a while ago & it hasn't moved. But I'll take a closer look at the area when I get home.
If it's not the router moving/slipping, what could it be on the machine that would produce this?
Thanks Bill

Pockets not flat
Hello there! Strange cuts have been occurring & I don't know why. Is it the machine, is it the program? Pockets are not flat & v-carves just are not right. I have tried different strategies as in offset, raster, climb & conventional with no luck. 1st pic is uneven pocket 2nd pic is a funny corner & ...
