Re: New Spindle and HD520 - Spindle and/or XY Axis stops

It's gonna be on the screw terminal block with all the others.
If you have a big-screw set (power and to the spindle motor) and a small-screw set (control signals),
then it will be on the big-screw terminal block somewhere.

Re: New Spindle and HD520 - Spindle and/or XY Axis stops

Andycollen: The VFD very likely has a plastic chassis, and therefore simply mounting it does not actually ground the case. I experienced odd failures too, until I bonded the case of the VFD to the case of the controller. That was actually the "E" for "earth" screw connection on mine, and might be a ...

Re: Huanyang Inverter how to reverse spindle?

oh...you mean like in the last post before your question?
It's a Y/Delta configuration, so reversing ANY two of the wires will have the effect of flipping the triangle over.
It's the old right-hand rule of electromagnetism:

Re: water tubing

Home Depot has it in 20-foot coils. it's the 3/16" ID size, vinyl tubing. Some places even have 100-foot rolls. https://www.homedepot.com/p/UDP-3-16-in-I-D-x-5-16-in-O-D-x-20-ft-Clear-Vinyl-Tubing-T10007004/304185167 The same thing at lowes: https://www.lowes.com/pd/EZ-FLO-3-16-in-Inner-Diameter-x-2...

Re: Control connection issues

Henry: In high-static, and high electrical noise environments, the old shark controllers definitely had problems. I even sold a kit that had users modify the wiring to fix that problem, and it helped many people fix those pesky connection issues. The root cause was that the static-drain/shielding wi...

Re: Shark SD120

Mad Max: Depends on the material and F&S used. Most people only do wood on these machines, and wood parts often only need to be accurate to 1/32" (0.03125"). That's even more true of things like wooden signs, where most people might not even notice 1/8" Inlays, however, often want things a LOT tight...

Re: Constant home position

There is a common misunderstanding of the function of LIMIT switches versus HOME switches. The function of a limit switch is to tell the machine that it is about to CRASH. The normal function of these switches, when tripped, is to trigger an ERROR and immediately stop movement in the machine. That i...

RMC_Florida:

Likely to allow the spindle to come up to speed, in cases where the user purchased the new controller-set spindle speed.

Cheers!
