I have tested the HD5 and recommend that the x and y axis be lubed every 30 hours. It can go longer in a dust free environment. What happens is the bearings lock up intermittently and causes it to move lower. You can see a video on it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AEWSnWsYmQ . Hope this help...
