accuracy vs. speed - G64P?????

as the topic indicates, I am after the best accuracy possible, both for profiles and hole patterns..
What is the significance of the G64Pvalue that is contained in the .tap file?
And can I control that value somewhere in the Vcarve program?

inserting (comments) in the *.tap file

I have two questions really:
1. is there a way to insert comments in the tool path program?
2. if there were comments in the tool path program, would they show up anywhere?
Note: editing the gcode is the manual way.....is there an automatic way?

Re: pocket depths

thanks to all. The minor editing of the tap file is my selected path of action....very efficient for the Shark and very efficient cycle time....

Re: pocket depths

thank you for the response. The pocket is of constant depth....the multiple depths flow from the fact that the depth of the pocket exceeds the capability of the 1/4 inch end mill, so I wanted to take the material out in two depths....
does this change your answer?

pocket depths

I have programmed a pocket to be cut with several successive depths because of the overall desired depth of the pocket. When programming a pocket at several depths, the *.tap file shows that the tool retracts to clear plane between the successive depths...is there a way to prevent this?

climb and conventional passes (CW-CCW)

am using vectric to program some simple 2d geometric shapes and profiling them in wood. Want to make a finish pass clockwise (climb cutting) and an identical finish pass counterclockwise (conventional cutting. reason is that I/2 the cut is with the grain, and the other half is against the grain....l...
