Re: Feeds and Speeds
no chart would ever work for someone else. Feed and Speed are based on the Material, the bit being used and rotation speed of your spindle/router. ideally you want to want to have the feed and speed set so that one point of the bit clears the material just as the second starts it's cut, but even th...

Re: Manual for the water cooled spindle
https://www.hobbytronics.co.za/Content/external/1159/Spindle_Settings.pdf Here you go. The settings should all be set already. The manual does show some things to change if this isn't the case. Mine was all fine. Just run it through the speed range min to 24k max a few times to make sure it is work...

Re: Not starting where I think it should
Can you try again with something painfully simple? Have it draw a small square and see how it reacts. From there, we can see if the gcode matches the actions and figure out what to do next. Thanks for the reply. I guess I should have deleted this post. I posted in another area and was able to figur...

Re: Setting up water cooled spindle
It's not a very good picture and I don't have one yet of the finished product but this is how I started mine. I have the water lines and power wires together over a roller guide. I can take better pictures of the finished work when I get home. Mine machine is sitting on a steel workbench I made for ...

I feel stupid but glad it was a simple mistake and over look on my part. Also had the wife looking at...

Re: Not starting where I think it should
Watch this Youtube video about the HD Shark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4XBKdNdMcc Is your machine like this? If so, he does an demo of how to zero (return to home position). Hope this helps. Yes I have this machine and pendant control. I watched that before and just now again. I guess this i...

Re: Not starting where I think it should
I have an older shark that uses a laptop to communicate with the CNC controller via CNC Shark program. On that software, I have to move the X, Y, & Z to where I want zero for all to be. I then have to tell the software that 'this is zero' for all axis (one click does it all if desired'). Then, when...
