Check out setting up the shark, those posts are for the HD4 extended bed but it will give you some ideas, I used the Kreg table added some drawers and an extra drag chain on the side for my wires and water lines

The reason some stay up and others don't is that the lead screw and the motor is not lined up, in other words it is in a bind, watch the bottom of the skrew as you operate the Z axis with the speed set to slow you will see that if it doesn't wobble your spindle will probably drop when power is cut, ...

I have the same problem with my HD4 I have contacted Nextwave about the issue and they don't seem to be concerned, telling me much of the same, it's normall for the weight, put a piece of wood under it, get a battery backup, if they had safety in mind they might offer a Z axis power off stepper moto...

this is my set up in progress everything is done except for the set up of my 7 watt laser, needed an extension cable for the laser head because i'm running the cable through the two drag chains to the foot of the table, extension cable coming Monday

install a second drag chain on side of machine to run water lines and control wires, I would have liked to install the controller for the spindle closer to the foot of the table but the power cable wasn't long enough, it works OK where it's at I ended the drag chain just below it and the water lines...

Sorry kind of a mess, in the middle of setting up the laser, with my control module all of the way at the foot of the machine I would like to run the power cable of the laser head through the drag chains but it isn't long enough, the cable attached to the laser is 5' 6" I need 16' to run through the...
