Hey everyone!
I have a great project for anyone who’s interested! I currently have about 4 hours of footage and I’m in the process of skimming it down a lot. The footage goes over the complete design from scratch as well as the prep and cutting and assembly. It should be out soon.
Take care,
Tom

Re: Vcarve tool path removing too much from inside corners
Got it better but it’s still not perfect. Ripped apart the whole machine cleaned and tightened the Y. I noticed I was able to push it just a hair while it was on.... got a big improvement in triangular shapes.... the square is still a little funny. I tried a few different angles from 58 to 62 with n...

Vcarve tool path removing too much from inside corners
Hello! Over the past two years I have perfected my 3d carving and finally decided to start working on some v carving for doing inlays on flat surfaces. Thinking to my self this will be cake! I have now ran into an issue which I thought would be an easy fix and cannot seem to find a solution. I am ru...

Re: Losing communication on Z (please help)
Rando, Thank you for the informative reply. I think I possibly have found the issue and will post it in case anyone else has this problem. A few weeks ago I started saving my toolpaths all at once. Since doing that my controller reset to 100, got that back to 4003. Then all those problems I was talk...

Losing communication on Z (please help)
Hello everyone, This week I started loosing full communication of the Z axis. During a roughing tool path z stopped moving up and down. I stopped the machine and it would not move manually. Tested power and there was power going to the motor. When switching the wires y still would not move Z up or d...

Re: Very out of square adjustments for HD 5
My projects came out pretty well but they were small. The one larger v carving I noticed very faint lines for each pass. My initial thought was it was out of square... then the stl files I ran seemed to have come out almost perfect. Next wave sent me a diagram and I have it set much better now. It’s...

Very out of square adjustments for HD 5
Hello, I have had my hd 5 for about two weeks now and ran 3 projects so far to test everything out. I am now getting ready to set the squareness but it seems so far off that I’m not sure how I should approach this. It seems like the entire casing needs to be adjusted on the guide rails first? There ...
