Re: Life of Bosch Router

Colt router Life.... I have the very first colt that I bought with my machine...THREE years ago. About once a year....it gets some raspy noises coming from it....and if let run longer will start slowing down and eventually stop. Change brushes ...and it works like brand new. Once I found this out......

Re: Feed speed

Van, You did not mention your depth of cut. This will factor in too. I cut hardwoods at 100 ipm with a .125 bit...and 50-75 ipm with a .25 bit on the rough side. I do this with .1 doc on .25 mill...and .050 doc on the .125 mill. The .031 ball is a bit trickier...you can run it 100+ ipm....ONLY IF......

Re: Probe Software

Rob, One thing I forgot to add... When you scan something...it comes into the 3d program huge. Like 10-15x size. You will have to reduce size till you get it proportional with what you scanned. I scanned a 5 inch part...and when I opened the .stl, it was about 75 inches. Thats a good thing tho...it ...

Re: Probe Software

Rob, When I installed the new updated control panel ...I ended up with TWO control panels....one is the old one with no scan tab (Basic Panel). The second one (Basic Panel Scan) has the scan tab. You will know the difference when first trying the panel as it asks for an unlock key if its the Scan ve...

Table Upgrade

Thought i'd post my upgrades and table made for my pro. I bought my shark almost 2 years ago. The table was a bit bowed...so I started building...and ended up making a heavy base and table to hold things flat. The table plate has drilled and tapped holes for clamping and is made of .75 thick aluminu...

Scan Probe

HI, It was suggested I post a scan in here to show some folks what it can do. This was a scan of a plastic bait about one inch tall by 2 inches long. It picked up all the small details like scales, eyes, fins ect and it was set on .010 resolution. I am really happy with the probe.... Enjoy.. Teir

Re: Probe Software

Tim, Thanks...I look forward to it. I have a customer I have been putting off that needed scan done. ---------------- Rob, It is very easy to operate. Tim had told me that it might stick the first time or two I used it...and it did. After that it has been pretty reliable. You would not believe the d...

Probe Software

Hello, I bought the touch probe 2 months ago and use it occasionaly. I didn't pay attention that I would need to register for a passcode when I installed it. Now it has gone off probation period and needs the passcode to work. I have send at least 2 emails to towens@nextwaveautomation.com over the l...

Re: Load error

Tim, I updated my software while i was at IWF..the 3rd day of IWF.....in anticipation of the probe. Since I got back from IWF....I have updated firmware on the shark with laptop hooked up. Probe was sticky as you told me it might be for the first scan or two. Then it cleared right up. I have run sca...
